Alleged cyber-attacks on Australia have targeted parliament, businesses, schools, and hospitals, with Prime Minister Scott Morrison claiming state actors were involved.
In an emergency press conference, Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison said the cyber-attackers had not got much success.
He said the attacks had been going on for months but had now increased, targeting the government, universities, hospitals, and industry.
He did not make a clear reference to any country but said that such a large-scale operation could not be carried out by many countries.
According to a British newspaper, China was implicated in cyber-attacks on parliament and three major political parties in May last year.
Scott Morrison said he had spoken to allies, including the British prime minister, about the cyber-attacks.
